Rare Gem began the way many good things do: with a calling to do meaningful work the right way. What started as 517 Handyman—one person helping neighbors—grew through trust and craftsmanship. Along the way we discovered our best work, happiest clients, and strongest results came from one place: bathrooms. So we made it official—we’re a bathroom-only company.

Today, every project is planned and built by our in-house crew, start to finish. We focus on code-correct plumbing and electrical, true waterproofing, clean sites, and respectful communication. Our manufacturer relationships—some of the best in the nation—let us deliver pro-grade products and smart options like custom shower pans up to 5.5 ft (multiple colors, foam-injected, thicker than standard) for long-term durability. We use treated glass and antimicrobial sealants to help resist mold and mildew when properly ventilated. The goal is simple: a bathroom that looks beautiful on day one and performs beautifully for years.
